Work Experience
I began working at Old Dominion University in the computer center (OCCS) as a Help Desk Tech and eventually worked my way through desktop computer and network support to web development. I then was hired as a programmer/analyst with the Center for Learning Technologies, as the department was beginning to grow and became exposed to elements of instructional design through several projects including the creation of the Video Streaming Pilot Project, deployment of online testing, support of Lotus LearningSpace, creation of the Faculty Student Communication System (FSCS), and support of Blackboard.

Now my position has been shifted into Academic Technology Services. As the Technology Coordinator, I am involved in supporting faculty in using technology to deliver instruction through the Faculty Multimedia Development Lab that I manage. In addition, I am involved in researching digital libraries and strategies to use them to the support of developing SCORM compliant learning modules and other digital assets.

I am involved in leadership and skills training with in the Boy Scouts of America. I have written numerous workshops for Alpha Phi Omega, a national service and leadership fraternity. I was appointed to the National Leadership Development Committee and later name named the chair of their Advisor Development Programs, which included making faculty, administrators, and community leaders who served as chapter advisors aware of their duties and responsibilities. I am also certified to teach Community First Aid & CPR for the American Red Cross.
