Scholarly Pursuit:
The focus of my research efforts is in the area of Sabbatical. It is an ongoing two step process of investigation: (1) I define the Sabbatical as another daily spiritual discipline vice the traditional weekly occurrence, and (2) I implement the Sabbath through the construct of self-efficacy. The hope is to see the impact a “new normal” can have upon ministry to Sailors and Marines. This focus of study is in addition to my pursuit of ID&T.
Professional Activities/History
Many moons ago, I joined the most feared fighting force in the world, the U.S. Marines! OUrah! As a Marine, I worked with little black box hermetically sealed instruments from a variety of Marine Aviation. I finished my bachelor degree while on Active Duty and then left it all in pursuit of full-time ministry. Upon completing Seminary, I joined the U.S. Navy Chaplaincy.
Background
Born and lived in Nebraska until joining the Marines in 1983. I have been married for 18 years to my wife, Trease. I have two children, Trina (16) and Robbie (6).
