Luke Duesbery 237 Education duesber@odu.edu
Professional Activities and History Luke Duesbery has been teaching for Old Dominion University since 1998. He graduated from Queen's University in Canada with an undergraduate degree in Economics, followed by a Master's degree in education from Old Dominion University. He has taught mainstream 7th grade social studies and language arts, and 4th through 6th grade science and technology to identified gifted and talented students. He has worked extensively within teacher education programs as a technology trainer and mentor.
Background Luke was born in England and immigrated to Canada when young. He grew up in a large family in Ottawa, Ontario learning to enjoy the extended winter seasons afforded him. In 1996 he moved to Washington D.C. in an effort to explore American culture, and returned shortly thereafter to begin university studies in Kingston, Ontario. After graduation he moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia where he started a family and vowed to learn to surf. In 2001 he and his family moved to the West Coast where he continues to surf, and teach in his spare time. WebMaster: idt@odu.edu |
