Parrot and Ferret Questions

(28 questions x 5 points each = 140 points)

You are required to do 28 parrot and ferret questions from 7 units (2 parrots and 2 ferrets from each unit). You are welcome to do more, but only a total of 28 of them will be graded.

At the end of some of the online lecture elements you will find interactive application questions called Parrots and Ferrets: Parrots - a review of concepts and Ferrets - application of concepts to real-world settings. The questions ask you to apply one of the concepts from the lecture to a real-world situation. By immediately rethinking and applying what you have encountered in one of the lectures, you increase your cognitive interaction and greatly improve retention. For each of the seven units you will be required to select and complete two parrot questions and two ferret questions. We do not mark your answer's "correctness," but we give you credit for participating. This assignment won't be marked until the end of the semester.

1) Go to the home page
2) Click on Lectures
3) Click the topics
4) At the end of each topic you will find Parrot and Ferret question
5) Open a text or word file (not wps file) and type the answer with the Unit number and the Topic (or Element) number into the text or word file
6) and then at the end of the semester submit all your saved 28 Parrots and Ferrets through Blackboard in ONE file (you will see "Parrots and Ferrets" button on the left nivagition bar after you log in)

1) Whenever you are doing your Parrot and Ferret questions, copy, paste and save all your reqiured answers (28 altogether) for Parrots and Ferrets from all the units into a text or word file (not a wps file)
2) Attach it with your submission here before the end of the semester
3) You will be notified automatically when your submission is complete
4) We will not grade all of them until the end of the semester
5) Then you can check your grade of Parrots and Ferrets at http://www.odu.edu/educ/dwallen/eci301new/eci301c.htm

Submission: 28 Parrot and Ferret questions need be saved into a text or word file and submitted ONCE through Blackboard at the end of the semester.

Grading: 5 points for each question. There are 28 questions (7 units x 4 answers = 28) for a total of 140 points.

You will be able to see your score at the end of the semester in the Parrots and Ferrets field of your online grade sheet.
