Orientation
Hello,
everyone.
Welcome to ECI 301 class website.
The
Format of the Class
This course has two formats fall and spring semesters:
one is face-to-face, "ECI 301, Realtime", which
meets at 8:00 am,Tuesday and Thursday, on the ODU campus;
the other is "ECI 301 Online", which has an
orientation session, via Teletechnet, at the
centers where students have registered, a second,
optional Teletechnet support session about half way through
the semester and an on-site, proctored final examination
at registered Teletechnet centers. The assignments for
both formats are similar and accessible on the net.
For
the summer semester only ECI 301 Online is offered by
Professor Allen.
Online
Orientation and Support Meetings
The
first meeting, broadcasted from Gronto Building, on the
ODU campus, is the orientation (for date and time see
the university catalog, and for the location, contact
the site director at your site where you registered).
The session features two-way audio and one-way video allowing
you to ask questions for clarification. Attend at the
site where you are registered. If you have a schedule
conflict, the orientation session is videotaped and the
tape will be available to view, and in some instances
for loan, at all sites after the session.
A
second optional support session will be held at the same
sites.
The
final exam will be proctored at the site where you have
registered. In exceptional cases, it is possible to arrange
alternative times for the final exam. Students can make
arrangements with their site director.
