Cathy FosnotCatherine Twomey Fosnot is Professor of Childhood Education and Director of Mathematics in the City, a national center of in-service for math education, at City College of New York. She has written many books on issues critical to thinking and learning. She is the first president of ACT and founded then edited the ACT journal THE CONSTRUCTIVIST for several years. She gave this keynote address at the ACT Conference in Houston in October of 2002.
