Sherrie Aguirre

Sherie Lake Aguirre has been the Principal Oboist of the Virginia Symphony and the Virginia Opera since 1987, and appears regularly as a soloist. Ms. Aguirre has also held principal positions with the Singapore Symphony, La Sinfonica de Maracaibo, La Sinfonica de Tenerife, and La Sinfonica de Madrid, and performs frequently in the Chamber Music series of the Virginia Arts Festival and the Norfolk Chamber Consort programs. During the summer she performs with the Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival and she played for many summers in Boulder, Colorado with the Colorado Music Festival. She attended Indiana University and Northwestern University.
