  • Sparkman has over 15 years in the field of Human Services. She has worked in a variety of capacities as a Human Service Practitioner. She prides herself in helping those who could not help themselves. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Services with a focus of Social and Community Services. Her dissertation is titled, “A Study of Parenting Dimension and Family Conflict in Hispanic and African American Families: Implications for Social Research”. She is currently Assistant Professor-Human Services at Old Dominion University. Dr. Sparkman is also the advisor to TUA (Aau Upsilon Alpha) Human Service Honors Society.
