I received a Diploma in nursing from Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta, Georgia; a Bachelor of Science degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland; and a Master of Science in Nursing from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. In April 2002, I was awarded the Doctor of Education degree with a specialization in Health Care Education from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
