  • Dr. DaVanzo has extensive experience in brain injury rehabilitation, cognitive remediation and the development and implementation of innovative community re-entry programs. He is the Director of Acute Rehab at Bon Secours Maryview Center for Physical Rehabilitation in Portsmouth, Virginia which is part of the Bon Secours Virginia Health System. Dr. DaVanzo earned his doctoral degree from the University of Virginia where his research focused on outcome measures and quality of life after brain injury. His other research interests include treatment efficacy and effectiveness, clinical aphasiology, and the neuroanatomical basis for neurogenic speech, language, and cognitive disorders.
