Locate an Advisor

Important Advisor Information

Students are to meet with their advisor every Fall and Spring semester.

Before your appointment, you will need a printed copy of your Degree Works (Software hosted in each student's Leoonline account showing a list of required courses for their listed major(s), and minor(s) if applicable, merged with the transcript). A step by step on how to access your Degree Works is located here.

Unless otherwise noted, all of our advisors use the MyAdvisor online appointment system for appointment scheduling. This system is open to all active degree seeking students.

  • (If you have been out of school for more than one calendar year, you will need to reactivate with ODU Admissions before you can be advised so that your academic record is reactivated and viewable by advisor.)
  • If you have problems using the system, please contact the ODU IT HelpDesk at 757-683-3192 or send an email to itshelp@odu.edu for troubleshooting assistance.

If any of these cases are applicable for you then also look for your advisor below.

  • This is my first semester at ODU (freshman or transfer)
  • I have less than a 2.0 overall or CBK cumulative GPA
  • I am changing my major from a non-business major to business
  • I am a business major with less than 30 credit hours applied to the business degree program
  • I am a business major with more than 80 credit hours applied to the business degree program

If you are a business major with more than 30 but less than 80 credit hours applied to the business degree program, look here for additional advising information.
