MediaCenters Inc. is a facilities based, terabit scaled metropolitan optical network with a national footprint. Its vision is to strengthen the foundation of the Internet – the metro network – by enabling any-to-any optical networking and resource partnering among all carriers and service providers. Redpoint Ventures provided the Company’s first round of equity funding. MediaCenters’ management team’s experience includes having held senior positions at Sprint, UUNet, Qwest, PSINet and Verizon. The company’s first two cities – San Francisco and San Jose are operational. Washington DC/Northern Virginia and New York City will be operational shortly.
