Dr. Donald Zeigler Awarded
AAG Gilbert Grosvenor Honors
for Geographic Education

Congratulations to Dr. Donald Zeigler!  He is the 2009 recipient of the highest honor from the Association of American Geographers (AAG), the AAG Gilbert Grosvenor Honors for Geographic Education recognizing his exceptional record of leadership in advancing geography education both at the university and in K-12 schools.  Through his leadership as president of the National Council for Geographic Education, The Virginia Social Science Association, and the Virginia Geographic Alliance, he has proved his dedication to enhancing geographic education.  Dr. Zeigler's expertise and passion for geography has inspired students, teachers and colleagues throughout the discipline.
