
Mission
Old Dominion University's Virginia Beach Higher Education Center is a state-of-the-art academic facility aligned with the university's mission to promote the advancement of knowledge and the pursuit of truth. Designed to provide graduate and undergraduate degree programs that support the region's high-demand and critical shortage professions, ODU at Virginia Beach is a center of learning committed to the highest quality educational experience for all of its students, and to the development of a diverse intellectual and cultural community.
The Center's location in the heart of the Princess Anne Commons district in the City of Virginia Beach makes it convenient for students transferring in pursuit of baccalaureate degrees, as well as for working adults to pursue professional development through graduate and undergraduate degree, certificate, and continuing education programs. GRADUATE degrees available include the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Doctor of Philosophy in English (Ph.D.), and master's degree programs in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, Education, Accounting, Engineering Management, and more. UNDERGRADUATE degrees available include Communication, Criminal Justice, Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, Nursing, Psychology, Teacher Preparation, Work and Professional Studies, and more.
Old Dominion University at Virginia Beach also serves as headquarters for the Institute for Learning in Retirement, the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology, a Virginia Tidewater Consortium-Educational Opportunity Center, and educational programming provided by Norfolk State University. In addition, the Center provides space as available to non-profit, corporate and business organizations and offers special events free and open to the public.
