Funding
Community of Science (COS)
ODU subscribes to the COS funding database, which provides faculty, students and staff at Old Dominion University access to approximately 25,000 funding opportunities every day.
• COS has funds for life sciences, social sciences, humanities and technology.
• COS has funds for research, travel, equipment, artistic pursuits, book publishing and more.
• COS has funds from the U.S. government, academic institutions, private foundations, corporations and international entities.
COS also has a feature that allows the user to track individual funding opportunities and/or save searches. Both of these offer the option to receive automatic e-mails when opportunities or searches are updated.
COS training will be offered twice each semester for faculty and grad students to learn how to search, track searches and tag and save funding opportunities. For more information contact Lisa Kelch, Research Development and Outreach Coordinator, lkelch@odu.edu.
