Funding Opportunities

National Research Funding database

The National Health Council (NHC) has created a database for NIH grants that were scored but NOT funded.  National Research Funding brings together peer-reviewed, unfunded research projects with patient advocacy organizations and other funders.

The website will allow you to register and submit an abstract and search for organizations that might fund your research.  Faculty MUST submit their abstract to Brent Edington (bedingto@odu.edu) in the Office of Research for review before posting them on the National Research Funding website.

Comprehensive List of Collaborative Funding Mechanisms

NORDP (National Organization of Research Development Professionals) offers a comprehensive list of funding opportunities that are collaborative and multi-disciplinary.  Updates are made as new opportunities become available or existing programs change.
