Faculty Research

Spring / Fall 2012 Faculty Proposal Preparation Program (FP3)

Purpose

The goal of the program is to help faculty submit high-quality, competitive proposals to external funding agencies by financially assisting the colleges to release a faculty member from one course of their teaching commitment during the Fall or Spring semester.

Eligibility

Deans may nominate up to two tenure-track faculty members for participation in the program each Spring and Fall semester.  Faculty should have a well-formulated and meritorious project that has already undergone internal review, but for which funding has not yet been sought or achieved.

Proposal Submission Deadlines

The deadline for submission is in the beginning of the semester prior to which the faculty will be requesting a course release. Nomination packages must be submitted by the Dean by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date to Lisa Kelch (lkelch@odu.edu).
