VIRGINIA CONSORTIUM PROGRAM IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology participates in a program that awards the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology through the Virginia Consortium for Professional Psychology.

This program is sponsored by the College of William and Mary, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk State University, and Old Dominion University. The emphasis of the program is on the training of highly skilled clinicians who will work in those areas of society where mental health care needs are not being met by the present system. The program is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association.
