Student Loan Deferments
As part of our core service, Old Dominion University uses the National Student Clearinghouse to process loan deferment forms. Submit your deferment forms to the Office of the University Registrar, 116 Rollins Hall, or fax to (757) 683-5357.

You can check the status of your loan deferment by accessing the NSLC website or you may contact the Clearinghouse at (703) 742-4200, Monday through Friday, 9am-7pm. 

Veterans' Deferments
Each Spring and Fall semester, the Veterans Affairs Services staff offers qualified VA recipients a deferment, which provides the opportunity to delay payment of tuition and fees approximately 2 months beyond the normal tuition deadline. This is a courtesy offered to Old Dominion University students collecting VA or G.I. Bill benefits. (Deferments are no longer offered during Summer sessions.)

The deadline for requesting a tuition deferment is the tuition deadline for each Fall and Spring semester.
