International Connection The International Connection/The Inn provides students from the U.S. the opportunity to live with international students on campus. This is an excellent way to continue to develop your intercultural skills and knowledge of global affairs as well as make new friends from around the world.
Volunteer in the Office of Study Abroad Our office is always looking for volunteers to assist us with classroom presentations, information sessions, promotional materials/events, Study Abroad Fairs, orientations, incoming exchange students, etc. Please contact our office if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
Monarch Mentor Program Assist newly arrived international students with their transition to life at ODU/in the U.S. This program is an excellent way to use your new intercultural communication skills (and further improve them), help others to adjust to a new culture/country/language/university system, give back to the community and make new friends.
Conversation Partner Program The Conversation Partner Program is run by ODU's English Language Center and provides students an opportunity to practice a second language, assist international students with their English and hopefully learn more about one another's cultures.
