DRAGAS INTERNATIONAL CENTER

The Dragas International Center opened in 1995. Funds to support the extensive renovation of the facility was provided through the generosity of local businessmen George Dragas, Jr. and Marcus Dragas.

The Dragas family has long supported Old Dominion University, and George Dragas, Jr. served as Rector of the Board of Visitors in 1990-91.

The Center houses offices for all units of the Office of International Programs, with the exception of the English Language Center, whose staff and faculty are in the Batten Arts and Letters Building (Hughes Hall beginning December 2005).

A conference room, used by both University and community organizations, expands the Old Dominion's international outreach outside of the campus borders.
