Cadet Daniel Dross and Cadet Axia Jelderks along with Staff Sergeant Billy Malloy present Acting President Broderick with a Virginia Army National Guard Certificate of Appreciation for the support given by ODU to the Army ROTC program. Cadets Dross and Jelderks are both Juniors and members of the ODU Army ROTC Monarch Battalion and the Virginia National Guard. The ODU Army ROTC program has an enrollment of over 200 Cadets this year which is the largest it has ever been. The Battalion is the 5th largest Army ROTC program out of 273 programs in the nations. In addition to having numerous Cadets on full scholarship, over 80 members of the ROTC Battalion are members of the Virginia National Guard earning tuition assistance and a monthly paycheck to support their education.
