Scholarly exchange Sharon Baxter, left, chats with Amanda Willoughby, a junior chemistry and biochemistry major from Virginia Beach, following Old Dominion’s annual scholarship luncheon Nov. 9. Willoughby is the recipient of the Lonnie D. and Frieda Young Science and Engineering Prize. The award was established by Baxter’s cousin, Linda Young Moore, in memory of her parents. Both Baxter and Young are ODU graduates. Runte allocates $3 million for faculty appointments Old Dominion will add more than $3 million in new faculty positions over the next two years, President Roseann Runte announced this week.
