Presidential welcome
President Roseann Runte greets new students at the reception following Freshman Convocation Aug. 25. As of the first of the week, the number of first-time freshmen enrolled stood at more than 1,740, a 5.8 percent increase over last year, and overall enrollment reached 20,000 for the fall semester, exceeding last year's record of 19,600 students. Official enrollment figures will be announced later.
