Survey on dental hygienists going to faculty and FAs

Full-time faculty and administrators will soon receive a survey in campus mail about dental health care. It is being conducted by Linda Carroll, a bachelor's and master's graduate of the dental hygiene program and currently a doctoral candidate in urban health services.

In addition to offering valuable information about how the attitude of one's dental hygienist influences a patient's dental behavior, those who complete the survey will be entered in a drawing for the following: first prize, $250; second prize, dinner for two ($50 value); and third prize, movie tickets for two ($16 value). The drawing will be held before the Thanksgiving break.

Information gained through the study may be used for health promotion activities aimed at improving the health of residents in urban communities. Participants will also be asked for their thoughts about the health care benefits offered through the university. The survey is scheduled to arrive on Sept. 3.

Classified employees were surveyed this summer. Their drawing will be held Aug. 23.
