Freshman Convocation set for Aug. 25 on mall

Freshman Convocation, the traditional fall-semester gathering for new students, will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, on Kaufman Mall (rain site is Webb Center).

President Roseann Runte will address the students, who will be invited to sign a memory book, a new tradition. Pages will be saved for them to review when they graduate.

Marlon Smith, founder and president of the educational consulting firm Success by Choice, will be the featured speaker.
