CEO of M-CAM to address Economics Club

David Martin, chief executive officer of M-CAM Inc., will speak at Old Dominion's Economics Club of Hampton Roads luncheon Monday, March 4.

Co-sponsored by the College of Business and Public Administration, the luncheon will begin at noon at the Sheraton Waterside Hotel in downtown Norfolk. Due to limited space, reservations are required. The cost of the luncheon is $30 for nonmembers.

M-CAM is a provider of mechanisms for lenders to use intellectual property and intangible assets as collateral for lending. Its focus is enabling businesses to leverage their IP/IA portfolios to access smart capital, and creating liquid markets for intellectual property.

Martin is an expert in domestic and international technology transfer. He created the first collateral enhancement products that allow regulated financial institutions to use intangible assets as collateral for commercial credit and he is considered a global expert in patent enforcement and insurance.

The founder and CEO of Mosaic Technologies, Martin also has served as executive director of the first for-profit research and development corporation at UVa.
