The Old Dominion University Research Foundation maintains an electronic list-service to provide a vehicle for communication between the university's research community and the Research Foundation.
One purpose of the list is to provide pertinent and timely information concerning the administration of grants and contracts. Another use is to provide timely notices of changes at the Research Foundation, such as new procedures, forms, personnel and Web site changes/enhancement.
The list membership includes faculty members with current research projects. We also include researchers' key support staff members on the list upon request.
We want our electronic mail list service to become a more useful communication tool. As of now, it is underutilized. While operational, thus far the vast majority of postings have been Research Foundation announcements.
Ideally, it will become a forum for investigator-initiated items of interest and electronic discussions among researchers. To this end, we invite and encourage list subscribers to participate by posting items they think will be of interest to the Old Dominion research community.
