Thanks to all who supported HACE holiday projects |

The spirit of giving is alive and well on campus, as evidenced by the success of the Hourly and Classified Employees Association's Thanksgiving Baskets project and Spirit of the Holidays party. I wish to thank every member of our university family who supported these worthwhile projects. As a result of your generosity, HACE was able to provide Thanksgiving food boxes to 68 Old Dominion employees and their families. Thank you for the gifts of food and money, and thanks also to those who headed up this drive in the many buildings across campus. Our annual Spirit of the Holidays party, for employees in Band 1 of the state classification system and their children, also was a big success, thanks in large measure to donations from the university community. Last month HACE presented gifts to more than 80 children to help make their holiday brighter. I would also like to recognize HACE members Suzanne Finnerty and Jackie Drew, who coordinated the Spirit of the Holidays party, and Steve Daniel, who headed the Thanksgiving Baskets project. Thanks also go out to all of the HACE members and other volunteers who worked so hard on these projects. Finally, I wish to recognize the following offices for their support: Auxiliary Services, Human Resources, Monarch Copy Center, Moving and Special Events, and Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance.
