Senior guard Michael Williams (Thomasville, Ga.) will compete in the 13th annual ESPN Slam Dunk Contest at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Concordia University's Gangelhoff Center.
A college basketball tradition, the event showcases the finest sharpshooters and high-risers in the country. It begins with the men's and women's 3-point contests, followed by the slam dunk contest, and then a 3-point shootout between the men's and women's champions from earlier in the day.
The 6-0 Williams, known for his defense and athletic ability, averaged 5.2 points per game for the Monarchs this past season. He completed his career at Old Dominion with 860 points, 68 steals, 263 rebounds and 239 assists.
