The following faculty and administrators were quoted or featured in recent issues of national and international newspapers and magazines:

Jo Ann Gora, provost, was quoted in a Sept. 29 New York Times story about universities' computer literacy requirements.

Bryan Porter, assistant professor of psychology, was quoted in an Associated Press story about his research on running red lights. The story ran in newspapers across the country, including USA Today and Newsday on Oct. 5.

Thomas Cash, professor of psychology, was quoted in an October Weight Watchers magazine story about body image among women.

J. R. Bullington, director of the Center for Global Business and Executive Education, wrote an article, "POW/MIA Recognition Day," for the September issue of State Magazine.

Walter Kimbrough, director of student activities and leadership, was featured in a Sept. 2 UNCW Seahawk story about a talk he gave at UNC-W Aug. 24 on fraternities and sororities.

Roger Johnson, associate professor of educational curriculum and instruction, was cited in a September Review of Optometry magazine story on children's vision and how it affects their performance in school.

Gary Edgerton, chair of communication and theatre arts, was quoted in a Sept. 6 Scholastic News story about movie theatres cracking down on underage kids trying to see R-rated movies. He was also quoted in a Sept. 20 U.S. News & World Report story about the movie ratings system.

Deborah Waller, associate professor of biological sciences, was quoted in a September Pest Control Technology magazine story about recent research in termite baiting.

Oktay Baysal, eminent scholar of aerospace engineering; Alex Pothen, associate professor of computer science; and James V. Koch, president, were quoted in an Oct. 1 story about Old Dominion's supercomputer.
