
Irene Finel-Honigman, adjunct professor of international business at Johns Hopkins University, will speak to Old Dominion University’s Economics Club of Hampton Roads Tuesday, March 21.
She will present “Euro-Dollar Competitiveness: The First European Union/U.S. Challenge for the Next Century” at noon at the Sheraton Waterside Hotel in downtown Norfolk.
Reservations are required for the luncheon; the cost is $30 for nonmembers.
The editor of “European Monetary Union Banking Issues: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives,” Finel-Honigman consults and lectures on European Monetary Union financial institutions and American and European economic, business, cultural and financial relations.
Before joining Johns Hopkins, she served in the Clinton administration as senior adviser of finance policy in the Department of Commerce, where she oversaw the introduction of an initiative on the European Monetary Union and its implications for U.S. competitiveness.
