Douglas Osheroff, J. G. Jackson and C. J. Wood Professor of Physics at Stanford University and winner of the 1996 Nobel Prize for physics, will give a lecture on campus Friday, Nov. 20, as part of the Fall 1998 Physics Colloquia. He will discuss “The Nature of Discovery in Physics” at 4 p.m. in room 102 of MGB.

Prior to the lecture, refreshments will be served in the Oceanography and Physics Building lobby at 3 p.m.
