Steve A. Yetiv, assistant professor of political science, was quoted in an Oct. 15 Boston Globe story about the Mideast summit.

James V. Koch, president, was quoted in an Oct. 29 Washington Times “Inside the Beltway” column item about the recent NATO symposium on campus.

K. Denise Threlfall, assistant professor of occupational and technical studies, was quoted in an ABCNews.com story about the thrift store industry.

Simon H. Serfaty, professor of international studies, was interviewed for an Oct. 5 Le Monde question-and-answer story about how Europeans view the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal.

Broderick, vice president for institutional advancement, were quoted in an Oct. 16 story about the university’s recent bus tour to local high schools. Eileen Mason, assistant professor of environmental health, appeared in one of the photos that ran with the story. She was also quoted in a recent Chesapeake Clipper story about the bus tour.

Maria Luisa Carino, visiting associate professor of English, was the subject of an Oct. 8 story about her role in launching a Filipino studies program. James V. Koch, president, was also quoted.

Hiroyuki T. Hamada, associate professor of exercise science, physical education and recreation, was featured in an Oct. 8 story about a recent demonstration on campus by Japan’s finest martial artists.

Maria Luisa Carino, visiting associate professor of English, is the author of a new poem, “They Say Filipina is Another Name for Maid,” that was featured recently in the Radio 4 program “Poetry on Air,” broadcast by Radio Television Hong Kong. It was scheduled to be excerpted and featured in The South China Morning Post.
