"Three Thursdays in June," a series of free outdoor concerts on Kaufman Mall, opened June 10 with a performance by the U.S. Navy Commodores and continues next Thursday, June 17, when Roy Muth's Big Band takes the stage in front of Webb Center with its swing and big band jazz music.

The Virginia Symphony will perform popular classical music for the final concert in the second annual series, June 24. All of the concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. The rain site is the South Mall inside Webb Center.

Concert-goers are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs and refreshments. Vendors will be on hand to sell food and beverages. Those planning to attend are advised to bring blankets or lawn chairs. For more information call 683-4061.
