Members of the campus community who attend Monarch or Lady Monarch CAA basketball tournament games in Richmond are invited to pregame socials sponsored by the alumni relations office.

The first men's game social will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, preceding the Monarchs' first-round game against East Carolina University, which tips off at 6 p.m. If Old Dominion wins its first game, the next social will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27; game time is 8:30 p.m.

And, if the Monarchs win their second-round game, they will compete for the championship at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28. The social would start at 5 p.m.

All of the men's game socials will be at the Richmond Center, across the street from the Richmond Coliseum, where the tournament games will be played.

The women's team plays its first game at noon Thursday, March 4. If the Lady Monarchs win, as expected, they will play again at 6 p.m. Friday, March 5. The social preceding this game would start at 4 p.m. If the women win this semifinal contest, they will play for the title at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 6. The social would begin at 2 p.m. Socials for the women's games will be in the University of Richmond student center.

Anyone who plans to attend any of the socials is asked to RSVP to the alumni office by calling 683-3097.
