Dr. Nikos Chrisochoides, Professor of Computer Science and Richard T. Cheng Endowed Chair, received a Ph.D. in 1992 in Computer Science and an M.S. in 1987 in Mathematics from Purdue University. Previously he was Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Center for Real-Time Computing at the College of William and Mary.
Dr. Konstantin P. Cigularov, Assistant Professor of Psychology, received a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 2008 from Colorado State University, an M.S. in Psychological Services in 2002 from East Central University and a B.S. in Banking and Finance in 1998 from the University of Economics, Bulgaria. Previously he was an Assistant Professor in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Occupational Safety and Health at the Institute of Psychology, Illinois Institute of Technology.
Dr. Terri Grant, Lecturer of Mathematics and Statistics, received a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics, in 2007 and 2003 respectively, from Old Dominion University and a B.S. in Mathematics in 2001 from Christopher Newport University. She has been a Visiting Assistant Professor, Adjunct Instructor and Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Mathematics and Statistics Department at Old Dominion University.
Ms. Constance Ann-Delyse Hopkins, Lecturer of Mathematics and Statistics, received an M.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics in 2010 from Old Dominion University and a B.S. in Mathematics in 2007 from the University of Virginia's College at Wise. She has been an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Old Dominion University.
Dr. Rachel Schmidt Jabaily, Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Biological Sciences, received a Ph.D. in Botany in 2009 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. in Botany in 2004 from the University of Wyoming. Previously she was an Associate Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Shuiwang Ji, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, received an M.S. in Computer Science in 2002 from Wuhan University of Science and Technology, China and is expected to receive a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Arizona State University. Previously he was a Graduate Research Assistant in the Center for Evolutionary Functional Genomics of The Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University.
Dr. Andrea D. Jones, Lecturer of Mathematics and Statistics, received a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics, in 2007 and 2006 respectively, from Old Dominion University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1996 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She has been a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at Old Dominion University.
Dr. Sookyung Joo, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Statistics, received a Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2004 from Purdue University and an M.S. and B.S. in Mathematics, in 1996 and 1994 respectively, from Ewha Womans University, Korea. Previously she was Ky Fan Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California.
Dr. Yaohang Li, Associate Professor of Computer Science, received a Ph.D. in 2003 and an M.S. in 2000 in Computer Science from Florida State University. Previously, he was Associate Professor of Computer Science at North Carolina A & T University.
Dr. Marie Melzer, Lecturer of Chemistry and Biochemistry, received a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry in 2009 from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Chemistry and B.A. in Biology in 2004 from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Previously she was a Post-doctoral Fellow for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
