ACADEMIC HONORS ASSOCIATION

The Academic Honors Association (AHA), a student organization, offers honors students addtional social and academic opportunities within the Honors College.

AHA, for example, has raised funds for battered women's shelters and the SPCA, collected food for the poor, and begun a campus recycling program. On the social end, AHA sponsors events such as visiting speakers, dances, picnics, and socials.

Upcoming President Lectures

September 18, 2007 - Jaap E. Doek. deputy justice in the Court of Appeal of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and former chairman of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, will deliver the Marc and Connie Jacobson Raoul Wallenberg Humanitarian Lecture, at 7:30 pm in the North Cafeteria of Webb University Center.

Tim Flannery, world-renowned climatologist and New York Times best-selling author of the book, “The Weather Makers: How Man Is Changing the Climate and What It Means for Life on Earth,” will be the guest speaker for Old Dominion University’s President’s Lecture Series Tuesday, Oct. 16.
