Essential Supplies/Equipment Grants for Honors College Students

Honors College students may apply for up to $300 to offset the costs of equipment and supplies for the completion of research related to a SHARP-sponsored research apprenticeship, honors contract course, or a senior honors thesis/project.  

Due Dates:  Applications are due no later than the third week of classes for each semester; summer applications for ESE grants are due the first day of finals week in the preceding spring semester.  
Funds are paid directly to the department sponsoring the course/thesis/research apprenticeship.

The ESE application should include the following: Short Description of the project. Identification of learning objectives related to the project. Budget Time Table for Completion of Project Projected Outcomes for Project (for example: presentation at ODU Undergraduate Research Symposium, honors thesis, etc.). Letter of support from faculty research mentor.    Applications should be emailed as attachments to Ms. Lisa Dunbar, executive secretary for the Honors College:  ldunbar@odu.edu.    The subject heading should be "ESE application."
