CONTRACT HONORS COURSES
Any student with a minimum GPA of 3.25 may petition a professor to designate an upper division course as "honors" for that student. Students interested in doing so should first obtain an "Application for Honors Course Designation" from the Honors College office in Education Building, Room218. The professor and student mutually agree on extra work or activities required for honors designation, fill out an application, obtain the chair's approval, and return the document to the Honors College office.
As soon as possible after the final exam, the professor notifies the Honors College office of the student's grade. Student must earn at least a B to receive honors designation for the course. The Office of the Registrar will then assign the prefix of "Honors" to the title of the course on the transcript.
