Barry M. Kornblau '71 Bachelor of Arts

Barry Kornblau is the chairman and CEO of Summit Realty Group, Inc. in Richmond, Va. He is also a real estate broker, a registered apartment manager, and a certified property manager. He previously served as senior vice president and director of apartment operations for United Dominion Realty Trust in Richmond, and as president of Summit Realty Group.
He graduated from Old Dominion University in 1971 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science.
Several of Kornblau's affiliations include serving on the board of directors for Rentgrow, Inc. in Waltham, Mass., and the Virginia Community Development Corp. in Richmond since 1994, including a term as chairman of the board in 2000. In addition, he is the former president of the Richmond Apartment Council and a member of the Virginia Apartment Management Association board.
His Old Dominion University involvement includes membership on the Board of Visitors from 1997-99, the Intercollegiate Foundation Board since 1979 (and chairman from 2000-02), the Alumni Association Board from 1999 to 2002, and the Educational Foundation Board since 2003.
He resides in Richmond with his wife Mary. They have three children.
