What type of exam will it be? Mostly multiple choice with the possibility of some short answer/essay. |

How should I prepare to take the exam? There are a number of things that students can do to prepare,but two stand. The first is to go to instructors who teach the class and talk with them about readings and course content. The second is to get the syllabus. The syllabus will give you textbooks that are used and the main topics covered. |

Can I see sample questions? No. Sample questions are not available for students. However, textbooks sometimes offer ample questions at the end of chapters which may be helpful for you to prepare for the exam. |

How will I take the exam? Pencil and Paper, computer? The exam will be written (pen and paper). |

What is considered a passing grade? A passing grade is 75% or better. |

How long do I have to complete the exam? Students taking departmental exams are given the same amount of time to take their exam as do students taking the in-class final: three (3) hours. |

What materials can I bring to the exam? Dictionary, calculator, etc.? Dictionaries, calculators and what are not necessary for this exam, and are therefore not permitted. |

What should I bring? Number 2 pencils, blue books, paper, blank diskettes? Students only need to provide a pencil or pen for themselves. All other necessary materials will be provided. |

When can I take the exam? During final exams, with a current class, or on an individual basis? |
