CS454 Network Management
Portfolio Reviewer: Ajay Gupta
Contact: ajay@cs.odu.edu

The following guidelines provide a specific description of what should be included in the portfolio. Students who have been approved to do CS 454/554 via portfolio should contact the faculty assessor, Janet Brunelle, to review the portfolio expectations.

Typically the students requesting the credit should include in their portfolio:

  • A copy of the syllabi for the courses they are challenging - contact the faculty for this information
  • A copy of the major assignments/labs from the courses. These are available via the faculty's website.

Then students should complete a preliminary portfolio that summarizes their course related/ conceptual coverage of the topics and a summary of the hands-on actual demonstrative work in the areas - relating it to the projects/labs/assignments. With as much actual physical proof as possible, providing as many concrete examples of code, website URLs, etc., as they can.

The employer should sign; verifying the work experience as stated.
