The Educational Foundation was formed in 1955 to receive, administer and distribute funds and property in the furtherance of the educational activities and objectives of the University.  In the decade from 2000-2010, the funds invested in the Foundation increased from $75 million to over $150 million.  As of September 2010, the investment pool is valued at $151 million. The Educational Foundation provides substantial support to the University‘s academic programs through endowments and annual gifts. Support includes funding faculty chairs and professorships, scholarships, research, and capital construction projects.  In University’s Fiscal Year 2010, the Foundation returned approximately $7 million to the University‘s educational programs.
