The Dominion Fund for Parents is a special giving program for parents of current and past students. Gifts to the Dominion Fund for Parents not only improve campus life, they also increase the overall quality of an Old Dominion education. Parents play a vital role in enriching the quality of life for ODU students through this initiative.
The Dominion Fund for Parents is instrumental in providing needed resources to Old Dominion University through the Parents Fund. This philanthropic support allows the administration along with the Parents Council to make investments in campus programs and facilities vital to campus life that would not otherwise be possible. Funds given to the Dominion Fund for Parents are allocated by the Parents Council and will go to areas such as:
Student Health Services Center – gifts are being used for the following:
- Combat TB infections
- Support for injuries
- Provide emergency medication
ODU Police Department – money was used to hire additional shifts to the Escort Program which protects students while walking to and from class.
