Graduation Fair
The Graduation Fair is the opportunity for graduating students to meet with all graduation/commencement vendors at the same time, in the same location. Students will be able to purchase regalia (cap, gown, tassel), class rings, diploma frames, as well as ODU apparel.
Graduation Fair takes place in the University Village Bookstore, located at 4417 Monarch Way (corner of 45th Street and Monarch Way in the University Village). The graduation fair dates and times for Spring 2010 are:
- Wednesday, February 3 - 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Thursday, February 4 - 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, February 5 - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Please note that commencement tickets are not distributed during the Graduation Fair.
Academic Regalia
Any student who wishes to participate in the Commencement Ceremony will be required to wear proper regalia. The degree you are earning from ODU should be represented by the academic gown and hood worn at Commencement. A hood color chart is enclosed in this packet. Caps and Gowns will be available during the Graduation Fair. You may also order online at www.herffjones.com/college/ODU (There is a $20.00 shipping and handling charge and the deadline to order online is April 1, 2010). No orders will be accepted by mail, phone or fax.
For those who forget to order February 3rd - 5th or decide to participate after the deadline, the University Village Bookstore will be ordering extra caps, gowns and hoods in various sizes and degrees. These extras will be available beginning April 26th, on a first-come, first-served basis. Extras cannot be held for individuals and sizes are not guaranteed. A $20.00 late fee will be charged in addition to the costs.
Regalia pricing for Spring 2010 is as follows (prices are subject to change for subsequent semesters):
- Bachelor outfit: $74.99
- Master outfit: $79.99
- Doctoral outfit: $94.99
Announcements
Students will have the opportunity to purchase standard graduation announcements or place orders for personalized announcements.
Class Rings
Balfour and Herff Jones will be assisting students with ordering class rings.
Diploma Frames
Framing Success will have a selection of diploma frames to purchase on-site.

Refunds
If by some chance an individual cannot take part in the ceremony after purchasing regalia, they may receive a refund, minus a $10.00 processing fee, if the University Village Bookstore is notified 3 days before Commencement and if the package has not been opened by the customer. After that time no refunds will be issued to the student.
