Get that resume read!

If it is the job of the resume to get you an interview it is the job of the cover letter to get your resume read. Letters give you the chance to show your personality. Cover letters normally consist of three sections, the introduction, the body and the closing.

Other letters you may write during your job search include requests for an information interview and a thank you letter.

Even if you are emailing these letters, you should use appropriate language and punctuation.
