Pamela C. Kirk

Ms. Pamela Kirk was appointed to the Board of Visitors July 1, 2005. She currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Visitors and as a member of the Administration & Finance and Student Advancement Committees.

After graduating from Old Dominion University in 1988, she began her career in the field of marketing with a concentration in commercial real estate. Her experience working with a Bank of America, Simon-DeBartolo Properties, Advantis and eventually as a consultant has afforded her extensive experience in acquisition and retention marketing, regional and national marketing campaigns, business development and management, and facility and property management. She has managed annual budgets under $250,000 and in excess of $1M.

As marketing Director for a regional shopping mall, she managed outside advertising agencies to create all seasonal and image campaigns, developed national programs, served as a site for test marketing new campaigns, and was a regional training manager for new directors.

Ms. Kirk has been responsible for the property management of commercial shopping centers in the Hampton Roads market. As Director of Business Development, she was responsible for database development and management, cultivating new clients and creating campaigns for customer retention for Advantis Construction Company, with five regional offices from Washington, DC to Florida.

As a marketing consultant. Ms. Kirk currently works with companies with various size budgets that require guidance and direction for new and existing marketing programs.

Ms. Kirk and her husband Russell reside in Suffolk, Virginia.
