Kendra Menefee Croshaw
Ms. Kendra Croshaw was appointed to the Board of Visitors July 1, 2002, and was appointed to a second four-year term on July 1, 2006. She currently serves as Vice Rector of the Board and as an ex-officio member of all standing committees. She previously served as Chair of the Student Advancement Committee.
In December, 2006, Ms. Croshaw retired as Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters Health System, a position she held since 1999. Prior to assuming that position, she served as Assistant to the President from 1985 through January, 1999. From 1981 to 1984 she was a financial representative for General Electric Company and from 1977 to 1979 she was a research assistant at the Smithsonian Institute Museum of Natural History.
Ms. Croshaw received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University in 2000, and an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Tidewater Community College in 1994. She earned her degrees over a 13-year period while working full-time.
Ms. Croshaw is a member of Women in Government Relations, the Golden Key Honor Society, and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. She has served on a number of Boards and committees, including the Special Events Committee of the Samaritan House (1998), The Public Relations Committee for Habitat for Humanity (1996-98), and the Board of Directors of the Virginia Beach Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) (1999-2004). She served as Secretary of the Board of Directors of CASA from 2000-2001 and as President from 2001-2003. She was Team Leader for the United Way Campaign at CHKDHS in 1995 and a participant in the United Way Day of Caring from 1995 to 1998. She served as a Jury Commissioner for the Commonwealth's Second Judicial Circuit Court from 2001-2002.
Ms. Croshaw and her husband, former State Delegate Glenn Croshaw, reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
