CONSTANT HALL TO GET A COMPLETE MAKEOVER
Alumni will have numerous opportunities to support project

Constant Hall, remembered by many alumni as Chandler Hall before a name change in 1995, closed its doors Jan. 1 for major renovations, sending business and public administration faculty and students to borrowed classrooms throughout the campus. When the newly designed two-story building reopens in August 2001, it will feature a variety of modernized lecture halls, classrooms and executive education facilities. The new and improved facility will house the faculty and staff of the College of Business and Public Administration.

Alumni nationwide will receive information in the coming months from Dean Taylor Sims about the design of the building as well as opportunities to support the project through the funding of offices and classrooms.

The new 92,000-square-foot structure will be similar in design to the university's Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center and the recently opened Virginia Beach Higher Education Center. Among the facility's architectural design elements will be an interior that features diffused natural light.
